Quarterly PTO Meeting Minutes 4/11/2024



  1. Angi discussed the events since the last meeting and showed a powerpoint

  3. Spring Book Fair (& science fair)

  4. February K-2 school dance

  5. Valentines for kids

  6. Spring picture day

  7. Pirates closet

  8. Special shout out to Christine Hare for washing dozens of loads of laundry for pirates closet and coordinating the valentines treats for the teachers.

  9. Pi day: raised $1300 for some of our students to attend Special Olympics on 4/24

  10. NHA communications team wrote an article on this event and interviewed Angi!

  11. Walking club

  12. Monthly calendars- big hit, lots of parents and staff have said they love these and we will be continuing them next year.

  13. Monthly cakes to celebrate teachers’ birthdays’.

  14. Food cart for teachers

  15. Just hosted a breakfast cart last Friday.

  17. Q2 skip the carpool raffle: drawing on Monday 4/15

  18. Sweatshirts for middle school: SPRING soccer and yearbook club

  3. Family tech talk: Helps parents learn what their kids are doing online and how to help them use tech safely.

  9. Hosted by 7th grade parents.

  10. Decorate day before and serve cupcakes the morning of event.

  12. Natalie discussed Volunteer opportunities - visit the calendar on our website to sign up for specific volunteer opportunities! We fixed the website so it's easier to sign up now.

  13. 3-5 Dance- April 19th

  14. Decorations/ set up 1:30-3:30pm- no one has signed up yet, please consider volunteering for this

  15. Chaperones- still need 3 more!

  16. Clean up 8-8:45pm- chaperones, please stay and help clean up!

  17. Field day

  18. 3 time slots available so you can choose when your child will be participating. Arrive 10 minutes early to sign in with the office and get station assignments.

  19. K-2: 8:30am - 10:10am

  20. 3-5: 12:45pm - 2:25pm

  21. 6-8: 10:30am - 12:10pm

  22. 6-8 Dance- May 31

  27. Friendly reminder tomorrow is a half day (pickup at 11:30am)

  28. Thank you to all our amazing volunteers. We could not do all that we do for the students and teachers without your support! This was our last meeting for the school year, our next meeting will be held via Zoom in the 2024-25 school year. Details to come!

  29. Final items to discuss and questions from group:

    1. Wizard of Oz is coming up, PTO is planning on gifting a stage to the school for school for plays and fine arts night! Donations needed for the stage as it is very expensive. Please reach out if you would like to donate!

    2. Question from Tory- do we have a general donation day for people who want to just donate and not volunteer?  There’s a national donation day every year that we could use. Great suggestion and we will look into it!
