Fundraising Policy

Peak PTO will strive to raise funds to cover its annual budget, and no more.  The PTO will strive to use the money raised in one year to benefit the school in the same year, other than a practical amount of funds to carry into the start of the next school year.  Special fundraising programs can be approved to raise extraordinary funding for long-term capital projects.  These funds will be kept separate from the PTO's operating budget and dedicated to the intended purpose.  PTO funds will always be used in accordance with the PTO's mission.

Note: If you are paying for a certain event or product, please indicate the specific event or product (with child's name) in the "Notes" section. If donating to the general PTO account, please indicate "general PTO donation" in the "Notes" section. Thank you!

In accordance with the Internal Revenue Service guidelines, Peak PTO maintains discretion and sole control over the use of all donated funds. All donations are non-refundable. In practice, Peak PTO honors the giving preferences for any of our previously approved programs and projects whenever possible. In rare cases, when that is not possible, gifts will be used where needed. Therefore, donors explicitly release Peak PTO from any restrictions on how those funds are spent. No goods or services were provided in return for any contribution. Contributions are tax-deductible to the limit allowed by law if the donor itemizes.
